Revitalizing a Historic Industrial Site

The project will convert a former industrial complex of nearly 5 hectares into a modern mixed-use development. Plans include 17 buildings featuring residential, office, commercial, hotel, and service units, along with 1,600 parking spaces (both underground and ground-level).

A key focus is the rehabilitation of historic buildings, originally constructed between 1904-1905 by architect László Székely. Out of 11 original structures, five will be preserved and restored, maintaining a vital part of Timișoara’s industrial heritage.

Timișoara Mayor Dominic Fritz emphasized the project's transformative impact, highlighting how it will revitalize an abandoned area, restore public access, and preserve the city’s first slaughterhouse.

Three-Phase Development

The investment will be executed in three phases:

Phase 1: Restoration of historic buildings and creation of a public square. Phase 2 & 3: Construction of modern buildings, green spaces, and parking areas. The developer will also handle public utility networks and road infrastructure improvements.

This ambitious development marks a major urban renewal milestone for Timișoara, integrating history with modern city planning.
