The transaction was brokered by the office division of Knight Frank Romania.
D'OR is an office project including three buildings: a historic building to be restored, a multifunctional pavilion building and a class A office building. This construction will be distributed on nine levels of 600 sqm each and will include 90 parking spaces in the basement. The building design process has given special importance to the principles of sustainability and energy efficiency (certified by BREEAM) as well as to the elements of rationality and flexibility of interior design.
"We searched for an iconic building in a central location that is easily accessible by subway and giving us enough space for six state-of-the-art classrooms as well as a small multifunctional library complex and our cultural activities such as exhibitions or movie screenings. We are confident that we have found this space and we are expecting starting next year all of our friends, as well as new friends interested in German and the cultural and social life of Germany in the new institute, "said Dr. Evelin Hust, Director of the Goethe Bucharest Institute.

The Institute will rent part of the ground floor, the entire first floor, as well as the Pavilion, the separate 500 sqm building, to host the Institute's library and multifunctional centre.
