Zero-energy buildings in Romania starting December 31, 2020

All new buildings commissioned on building permits issued starting December 31, 2020 will be nearly zero-energy buildings (nZEB), the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration (MDRAP) informs in a statement issued on Friday.

The number of building for which owners have applied for a green certificate has increased from 2 to 200 in the last five years in Romania, said Steven Borncamp, CEO of Romania Green Building Council (RoGBC), quoted by local wall-street.ro.
