City Gate, GTC's & Bluehouse’s office project in the centre of Bucharest is an ultra modern development comprising two 18-storey office towers in Presei Libere square. The Class A office project, with a gross built area of 44,000 sqm, provides a modern working environment to well known tenants such as KMG Rompetrol, Telecom, Microsoft, Millenium Bank, La Roche, Alcatel, E.ON, Chevron etc.
City Gate North Tower represented the first step of the certification process, successfully finalized last year under the assistance of Colliers professionals, when it became the first existing building in Bucharest to obtain a LEED Gold certification. With the recent certification of the South Tower, City Gate is now completely certified and ranks among the few green office projects in Romania.
“We are extremely happy with the results of the green certification process of City Gate. With both towers completely certified, we are now able to provide our tenants with the reassurance of a healthy and efficient workplace, while benefiting from reduced maintenance costs, parallel to the CSR and corporate image attributes of operating in a green building,” said Danny Bercovich, CEO of GTC Romania.
“City Gate is further evidence that green building is more than just a trend and that the market is listening to what tenants demand for office space, especially Multi-National Corporations. We are proud to be part of GTC’s efforts for sustainable development in Romania.
The main arguments in favour of City Gate were the reduced water consumption, sustainable waste management and increased energy efficiency provided by the project,” commented Oana Stamatin, Senior Associate LEED AP BD+C within the Real Estate Management Services team of Colliers International Romania.
