The Coface Top 500 ECE study analyzes the evolution of businesses in 12 countries in the region such as Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Lithuania or Croatia.

The Romanian companies in the top 500 run a cumulative 69 billion euro business. At the region level, the Czech Republic, the country advanced by Romania as a number of companies present, has 60 companies in the top 500 that had total business of 94 billion euros in 2018, which shows that the Romanian companies are small.
