The prize was awarded to Florin Furdui, Country Manager for Portland Trust in Romania, on Thursday, the 11th of May, during the awards ceremony held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Bucharest.
This prize is given to the best office developments in Bucharest that offer healthy, enjoyable and productive places to work for the BPO/SSC industry. Oregon Park’s competitors in this category were: AFI Park and Gara Herăstrău by Globalworth Real Estate Investment. This is the first nominalization and the first prize won by Oregon Park, the sixth office project developed by Portland Trust in Romania.
“We are very happy for receiving this award that recognizes the high quality standards of our work in Oregon Park. What differentiates Oregon Park from other Class A green office buildings in Bucharest is the focus on low energy consumption and the efficient design combined with excellent accessibility both by car and by public transport and generous green areas. This project was built to stand above the domestic market standards, through the implementation of some of the most performant features of sustainability and energy efficiency of today: from the geo-thermal heat pump system, which generates a significant saving of over 30% of the costs paid for heating and cooling, to destination-controlled elevators and to the internal and external LED lighting”, stated Florin Furdui, Country Manager of Portland Trust Romania. “Along with the location, another strong point is, in our opinion, the attention dedicated to landscaping and the green space, which represents 30% of the total area of this project. Our strong belief is that the office buildings of the future must create a pleasant atmosphere where people can relax in social spaces, as well as work at their best capacity in welcoming office spaces”, added Mr. Florin Furdui.
The three buildings of Oregon Park are designed in accordance with BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology), and were awarded with the rating “Excellent”. In terms of retail ammenities the project has a “1 Minute” coffee shop with their most modern concept, a “Stradale” restaurant, which offers a mix of creative environment and culinary delights created by Chef FOA, a medical clinic operated by Medicover and a BCR banking unit. Further retail units and a kindergarten will be opened at the groundfloor of Building C.
“This prize is another proof of the fact that Oregon Park is a truly unique project. At Portland, we aim at offering our tenants the best working conditions for their employees being in the same time extremely cost effective. I believe that Oregon Park will soon join Floreasca Park as one of our most awarded projects!”, concluded Mr. Florin Furdui.
Oregon Park is located on Șoseaua Pipera, in the Northern part of Bucharest and will have three buildings with a total surface of 72,000 sqm of office space. Building A has 21,000 sqm and is fully leased to Oracle. Building B was finalized in January 2017 and has 24,000 sqm of which 14,000 sqm are already leased. Building C (24,000 sqm) is expected to be completed in the third trimester of 2018.
