The percentage increased significantly compared to last year, when 55% of Romanian entrepreneurs were optimistic about the local business environment.
The percentage of pessimist entrepreneurs, who expect Romania’s business environment to get friendlier over 30 years, went down from 19% in 2015 to 5% this year.
“The positive evolutions highlighted in the new Entrepreneurial Barometer are good news for the whole Romanian business environment,” said Bogdan ion, Country Managing Partner EY Romania.
More than half of the questioned entrepreneurs consider that the VAT rate cut from 24% to 20% (and to 9% for food) has been the best fiscal measure in the last year. Moreover, 51% of the entrepreneurs consider that the fiscal environment has improved.
