The new store has an area of 1,800 sq. m on 2 levels, the second floor hosting the interior design collection H&M Home. The store is situated on Lipscani St. in the historical centre of Bucharest, a destination that attracted the attention of several fashion retailers.
The store has a team made of 20 employees and it is the 28th in the network.
"Germany is one of the countries where H&M has most of the street locations. We grew a lot since 2011, when we opened the first store in Romania, so a street store was a natural move after all the stores opened within commercial centres. The Old Centre fits our store concept. We are the first big fashion retailer to open here", said Andreia Urzica, PR manager H&M.
By the end of the year the company intends to open two new units - in Iris Shopping Center in Titan and Galati – and will expand with 800 sq. m the store in AFI Cotroceni. (source: wall-street.ro)
