Located in northern Bucharest, in the Barbu Văcărescu - Floreasca area, the Green Court Bucharest campus is the first project made by Skanska in Romania. The campus comprises three A-class office buildings with a total rental area of 54,300 sqm. Globalworth already owns the A and B buildings of the complex as a result of acquisitions made in June and December 2015 respectively. The C building has a surface area of 16,300 square meters and was awarded the LEED Gold Energy Efficiency Certificate. At present, there are companies such as General Motors, Orange, Capgemini, ABB, Legand or Merck.
"We are pleased to announce the acquisition of the C building, part of the award-winning Green Court Bucharest. This marks the third transaction between Globalworth and Swedish developer Skanska, after which Globalworth becomes the sole owner of Green Court Bucharest. Along with the other properties we have in this area, Green Court Bucharest contributes to strengthening our position in the northern part of the Central Business District (CBD), the largest and sought office hub in Bucharest. This transaction is a very important step in achieving our strategic goals and building our portfolio with modern, high-quality and energy-efficient buildings, "said Dimitris Raptis, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer.
The Green Court Bucharest project was developed using environmentally friendly technologies and sustainable solutions to minimize its impact on the environment and significantly reduce operating costs. Modern technologies, such as the energy-efficient façade that reduces solar thermal transfer, energy-efficient lighting systems equipped with motion and intensity sensors provide a comfortable working environment. The property also includes power stations for electric cars, bicycle parking areas and bicycle facilities, an interior courtyard with free green areas and free Wi-Fi and an IT Hub in the "C" building reception, available not only for the employees of the companies, but also for members of the local community.
"The sale of the third Green Court Bucharest building represents the successful conclusion of our first office development project in Romania. Our vision for this was to provide innovative, productive workspaces that put people at the forefront and also contribute to the community and the area where the project is being developed. The relationships we have built with our partners confirm the fulfillment of these goals. We want to thank both our tenants and Globalworth for their trust and cooperation, "said Marcin Łapinski, Managing Director of Skanska Property Romania & Hungary. (Source: constructiv.ro)
