Europolis is the owner of the company holding two office buildings within Sema Parc (controlled by the Romanian businessman Ion Rădulea) company that was recently taken over by the Austrian real estate developer Immofinanz.
In April 2010, Europolis Sema Park increased its capital with EUR 11 million, up to EUR 26.1 million, by cash contribution of Europolis. The increase was made through two companies of Europolis Real Estate Asset Management, registered in Cyprus and respectively in Austria, shareholders of Europolis Sema Park.
Europolis Sema Park owns two office buildings, River Place, bought in 2006 within Sema Parc project in Bucharest.
Now, after seven years since its latest capital increase, the company will receive EUR 7 million, bringing the capital up to EUR 33.1 million.
The value of the two office buildings exceeded EUR 100 million in the end of 2009.
Sema Parc is developed on the platform of the former Semanatoarea factory in western Bucharest, close to Grozavesti –Orhideea area, the new pole of business in Bucharest.
Last November, Immofinanz received the approval of the Concurrence Council to take over ten companies in Romania, owners of important office buildings in Bucharest, including Europolis Sema Park SRL.
Previously, the Austrian developer had bought 26 pct of the shares of CA Immo from the Russian billionaire Boris Mints, as a first step towards the two Austrian companies’ fusion, which own together 15 pct. of the office spaces in Romania, in a transaction of EUR 604 million. (source: profit.ro)
