According to the first semester’s financial report, Sprider started 2013 with 10 stores in Romania, seven of them being closed during the first six months. At the end of July, Bucharest court has declared the company Sprider Stores SRL as bankrupt.

Sprider Stores entered the Romanian market in 2007 and invested over EUR 20 million in fitting out its units in Romania.

Last year, the local company has sales of 15.8 million lei, with 37% down from 2011 and three times bigger loss, of 33 million lei. (source: wall-street.ro)
