The complex had EUR 160,000 profit, compared to EUR 22,000 loss last year. The company’ officials didn’t wish to disclose the financial data for the first half of the year.
„My objective is to raise the company’s return“, said Cristina Chiriac, general manager of World Trade Center Bucharest. Cristina Chiriac, former vice-president of the State Assets Capitalization Authority (AVAS), was appointed in July to the complex’s management, to replace former manager Mircea Ursache.
Among World Trade Center’s shareholders there are Bucharest City Hall, Proprietatea Fund, Bouygues Batiment, Tarom and Romanian Chamber of Commerce.
In 2011, Mircea Ursache requested the company’s insolvency, in order to avoid the foreclosure for an older EUR 40 million debt. (source: zf.ro)
