An important part of Bucurestii Noi Blvd. was closed and the traffic was reoriented towards neighbourhood streets.

According to Metrorex workers, the boulevard will be closed for at least a year, and the works will be terminated in 2 years and a half. The funds for the construction of the two stations and the depot near  Straulesti lake represent 85% EU grants, according to Capital.

Moreover, the local public transportation company has suspended the trams on line 20 and the trolleybuses on line 97 and introduced a new shuttle line 697, towards Damaroaia neighbourhood and Straulesti strand. (source: dailybusiness.ro)
