‘The impact study represents a singular project for AmCham, with this being the first analysis of this kind of the economic impact carried out by the member companies in Romania. The results of the impact study confirm the representativeness and relevance of the AmCham and force us to remain an active militant for a stable, predictable and competitive business environment,’ showed the President of AmCham Romania, Valeriu Nistor.

According to the study, the total contribution to the Romanian GDP of the more than 350 companies members of the AmCham accounted for 11.2 per cent in 2011.

 

The American multinationals present on the Romanian market and the other companies members of AmCham contributed to the state budget by 7.79 per cent in terms of revenue tax, 6.47 per cent in terms of contribution to the social security budget paid by the employers and by 6.39 in terms of contributions to the health security budget paid by employers.
