Until the future building is ready, Amazon has now leased 3,000 sqm within the Unique Building, also in the center of Iaşi, in the proximity of Palas complex, the current headquarters of the retailer.

Amazon's Iasi Development Center has four departments: Technology Development, Compliance Operations, Retail Services and Digital Imaging, and a total of nearly 1,000 employees.

With the expansion in Iaşi, the Amazon could thus reach at least 1,800 employees, almost double that at the beginning of last year. Most likely, according to the cited data, the 5,000 sq m of new offices will be in a new project developed by the entrepreneur Iulian Dascălu, given that Amazon currently has about 13,000 sq m in the Palas Iasi project.
