Microchip Technology Romania expanded its office in Bucharest with 1,000 sq.m, by leasing an upper floor in AFI Park 1 office building, where nearly 100 new employees will work.

EUR 50 million, according to ZF estimations.
Transactions involving office spaces in Romania’s capital city Bucharest exceeded 300,000 square meters in 2013, the highest volume reported in the last six years, with one third of the transactions closed by IT&C companies.
AFI Europe has signed the largest and most significant lease contract of this year in Romania. The entire AFI Park 2 office building, which is currently under construction, was leased to the leading IT company Electronic Arts. AFI Park 2, with built up area of 20,000 sqm and a gross leasable area of 12,200 sqm, is the second out of 5 office buildings of the AFI Park office development situated next to the prestigious AFI Palace Cotroceni shopping mall.
AFI Europe started the construction of the third building in Bucharest AFI Park complex, scheduled for delivery in November next year, accelerating the development as more and more international companies are aiming Romania for relocation of their It departments, according to David Hay, company’s head in Romania.
