2016, year of growth on the office market: three times more office buildings deliveries in Bucharest , transactions 20pct up

2016 was a good year for the office rentals market. Following five years with office deliveries at lower level of maximum 125,000 sqm, registering in 2015 a minimum low of the last ten years – 85,000 sqm, 2016 registered three times increase of the new spaces offer, with 280,000 sqm.

Average companies rented with 14 pct more offices compared to last year

Companies rented more offices in the first quarter

Companies rented in the first quarter offices totalizing nearly 85,000 sq. m, with 75 pct in Bucharest, with 15 pct increase compared to the similar period of last year, according to Esop real estate consultancy company.

Esop: More and more companies are renting office villas

In the first quarter of the year the number of transactions with villas rented for offices has increased with approx. 43 pct compared to the similar period from 2014, but the average area rented has decreased with 36 pct., to 265 sq. m.
