"We will close the location of Tudor Arghezi and move to a new space. Why are we moving? We have never been 100% satisfied with the conditions here (...) When I started my work in 2015, I got the mission to I am looking for a better place to be the Goethe Institute for the long term. We have decided to choose a building to be built from scratch, a space on the 32nd Calea Dorobantilor, located in a district of cultural institutes, the French Institute, the British Council", said Goethe Institute Director Evelin Hust.
She added that in the new headquarters the institute will have space in three buildings, one of them being the headquarters of the former German Kindergarten no. 85, which will be the administration, the departments of culture.
In the office building, the Goethe Institute will rent the first floor and here will be the classes where the German courses will be held. The third building will be a cultural pavilion, which the institute has already named "Pavilion 32", where a 100 square meter event hall will be set up and the library will be on the first floor.
