A developer can earn over USD 14,000 a month in Switzerland, ten times more than one in Romania.
Programmers’ salaries rose by 20-30% in the last five years, but they are still behind those in Denmark or Switzerland, and closer to those in countries such as Bulgaria, according to a study quoted by Wall Street Journal, reports local Ziarul Financiar.
A Romanian developer with 2-3 years of work experience has a salary ranging between USD 1,500 – 2,500 per month, said Maria Hostiuc, senior IT&C recruitment consultant at Brainspotting. Even in India a developer can earn over USD 3,500 per month. (source: Romania-insider.com)
