According to available data, in May the construction works volume has increased in four countries members, decreased in nine countries and remain stable in Great Britain.
The most significant decreases were registered in Bulgaria (minus 4.2%), Poland and Slovenia (both with minus 2.8%) and Germany (minus 2.6%) and the countries with registered increases were Spain (4.4%), Romania (3.1%), Sweden (1.7%) and the Netherlands (1.1%).
On yearly basis in May 2013 compared to May 2012 the construction works volume has decreased with 5.1% in the Eurozone and in the EU.
Therefore, the construction works volume has decreased in 11 countries members and has increased only in three countries: Hungary (11.1%), Spain (8.2%) and Sweden (7.9%). The most significant decreases were registered in Poland (minus 28.6%), Czech Republic (minus 15.5%), Portugal (minus 12.9%) and Slovakia (minus 12.1%).
