Residential construction permits – 5% increase in the first four months

The number of the construction permits for residential buildings increased in the first four months compared with the same period of last year with 5% (498 permits) to 10,467, according to the National Institute for Statistics (INS).

"The most important growth was registered in the following development regions: Bucharest-Ilfov (+205 permits), West (+164 permits) and Centre (+135 permits). There were decreases in the following development regions: South-Western Oltenia (-27 permits), North-East (-23 permits) and Southern-Muntenia (-16 permits)", the INS release shows.

In April 2013 a number of 3,594 construction permits were released, with 17.9% increase compared to March and with 16.2% increase compared to April 2012. (source: economica.net)
