Profi target for 2013 – 20% increase in turnover
Profi, second biggest retailer on the Romanian market, owned by the investment fund Enterprise Investors, exceeded last year the milestone of one billion lei, from 934 million lei in 2011, and estimates a 20% growth in 2013.
“Profi aims for the next three years approx. 300 shops for middle term, to double its turnover, to increase the professional skills of its employees and the market awareness” has declared Dumitru Dragomir, CFO Profi, at the event "Fiscal 2013", organized by Wall-Street.ro, in partnership with Niculeasa Law Office, Mazars and KPMG.
He added that for this year Profi is planning a turnover growth by 25% and the extention of the chain with 45 units. The investment for a new shop opening can reach hundreds thousands euros. Currently, Profi has 162 units, in 87 towns.
Dragomir also mentioned that Profi considers extending in rural area with its new smaller-sized format, CITY, having a target of 20 shops for this year; the retailer is heading other acquisition opportunities on the local market too. (source: wall-street.ro)
