The modern office market, evaluated at 2.2 million sq. m in Bucharest and at 490,000 sq. m in main cities outside the Capital, is one step away from becoming again the place for attracting the foreign institutional investors, including the pension funds.
„We will see transactions this year on the office market. German, American, Austrian funds will enter the local market if the “products” (e.n. the office buildings) are large and important enough”, said Robert Neale.
„We are targeting too the sale of the buildings to institutional investors from Germany and Austria, such as the pension funds“, the British added, one of the first foreign investors who started to develop offices in Bucharest in the late 90s, the first building made being Opera Center.
Currently, Portland Trust is working at the office building Oregon Park in Northern Bucharest, where IT giant Oracle rented 20,000 sq. m. (source: zf.ro)
