More cash on the real estate market: 26% increase for transactions, 10% mortgage decrease
The number of real estate transactions increased with 26% in the first quarter of this year comparing to the same period of 2012, reaching 187,712, while the mortgages registered were reduced by 10%, according to ANCPI (National Agency of Cadastre and Real Estate Advertising).
In March 2013 the number of the properties in transaction was 68,498, comparing to 64,088 in February 2013 and 58,343 in March 2012. In the 1Q 2013 the agency registered a total of 1.2 million operations, nearly 144,000 more than the same period of last year.
The biggest number of transactions was registered in Timis – 12,863, Bucharest – 12,618 and Arad – 10,797, while the less registered transactions were in Teleorman – 955, Bistrita-Nasaud – 1,478 and Buzau – 1,723.
The number of mortgages and privileges submitted to the Land Registry in 1Q 2013 reached 30,066, with a decrease of nearly 3,000 comparing to the similar period of last year. Bucharest is in the top, with 4,365, and Teleorman district is the last, with only 118.
In March 2013 the agency registered 10,999 mortgages and privileges, comparing to 10,512 in February 2013 and 11,281 in March 2012.
Last year the number of real estate transactions in Romania has a 9.1% growth comparing to 2011, from 646,112 operations to 705,338, and a 20% decrease of the number of mortgages was registered. (source: wall-street.ro)
