The new unit has a selling area of approx. 1,000 sq. and employs 16 new jobs.

Since the beginning of the year, Lidl opened stores in Cluj-Napoca, Galaţi, Constanţa, Piatra-Neamţ and Târgu-Mureş. The company will continue its investments in Romania, currently having more than 3,000 employees working in its stores network, regional distribution centers and in headquarters, a press release of the retailer says.

Lidl is one of the biggest store chains in Europe, being active in more than 20 European countries, with more than 100 logistic centers providing the supply of the approx. 10,000 stores. With over 170,000 employees, Lidle is in top 10 food retailers in the world. (sursa: zf.ro)
