"Since 1st of July we have started the relocation from Opera Center, after the complete relocation approx. 170 people will be working in the premises in Tower Center. We have rented three floors – 8th, 9th and 10th floor", has declared for MEDIAFAX the director of the Integrated Accounts Department within Huawei Romania, Vlad Doicaru.
Huawei had in Romania last year turnover of $ 249 million, with 10% increase compared to last year, estimating for this year a growth to $ 260 million in turnover.
The local branch of the Chinese group started its activity in 2003.
Huawei Romania also owns a global support centre in Romania, situated in the Lakeview building, on Barbu Vacarescu Blvd in Bucharest.
Tower Center, developed by Avrig 35 and Industrialexport and took over last year by the businessmen Ioannis Papalekas and Dragoş Bîlteanu, has a rentable area of 22,000 sqm. With this new transaction, the occupancy rate of the building exceeds 80%, after a period of several years when the building was empty due to litigations.
