The giant IBM, biggest global IT services provider has accelerated the expansion process on the local market by renting almost entirely two office buildings in Bucharest - Bucharest Corporate Center in Buzesti area and Global Business Center in Politehnica area – buildings known over the time as the headquarters of the insurance broker Generali and Connex (now Vodafone) respectively.
IBM already had spaces rented in both buildings, but needed to extend. The relocation of Generali in Charles de Gaulle Plaza and of the company Microchip in AFI Park 1 office building left available new spaces which allow IBM to extend its operations to approx. 20,000 sqm of offices, where over 2,000 could work.
