Last year, the country was able to attract the biggest amount of FDI from the past eight years. In 2015, Romania got EUR 3.46 billion worth of foreign investments, according to the updated figures of the central bank.

Out of the EUR 4 billion registered last year, the contributions to the share capital, including the reinvested profit reached EUR 3.9 billion.

In 2008 – one year before the start of the financial crisis, the country attracted a record amount of FDI, worth EUR 9.5 billion. (source: business-review.eu)
