The turnover in the period between end of May 2012 and end of May 2013 generated by the retail area of the complex reached EUR 12.9 million, while the office area registered EUR 3 million turnover.
"For 2013 we estimate a turnover of EUR 13.4 million for the retail and EUR 3.757 million for the office. In the first year of functioning, the Palas complex had a good evolution, considering the financial results as well as the traffic and we are optimistic that this positive trend will continue. Although at the opening we estimated approx. 9 million visitors traffic for the first year we registered an evolution beyond our expectations, over 12 million.", added the cited sources.
Palas Iasi attracted an investment of EUR 265 million and has a total built area of 270,000 sqm, from which Palas Mall occupies 54,200 sqm, Palas Shopping Street 6,300 sqm and the office complex, named United Business Center, with three A class office buildings, has a total area over 20,000 sqm.
Iulius Group is the biggest local developer and operator of commercial centres of mall type, having a network of four malls (Iulius Mall Iasi, Iulius Mall Timisoara, Iulius Mall Cluj and Iulius Mall Suceava). The four malls have generated EUR 45.73 million turnover in 2012, a level compared to the one in 2011. The biggest income was generated last year by the mall in Timisoara, with EUR 17.44 million.
