The office complex, which in 2021 obtained the first green loan granted to Romania by the IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, covers 60,000 square meters and was inaugurated last year.
The financial institution has awarded €72 million to this project to help it achieve EDGE Advanced certification, with a projected reduction of at least 40% in energy and water consumption compared to a similar standard building.
This is the second office building with double green certification in the Iulius portfolio, after United Business Center 0, part of the mixed-use complex Iulius Town Timișoara.
The certification process was managed with the support of BuildGreen, a company active in the field of design, development and certification of sustainable buildings in Central and Eastern Europe.
Iulius invested 120 million euros in the Palas Campus project, regenerating a central area of Iași. Multinational IT and automotive companies such as Amazon Development Center Romania, Cognizant Softvision, Expleo, HTEC Group, Microsoft, Visma Software Romania, Profidata Dev, Safeguard Global, Bandwidth and Allianz-Ţiriac have their headquarters here.
