The growth was due to the volume of new construction works, which rose by 20.2%, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS). Capital repair work went down by 2% between January 1 and February 28.

The volume of construction works increased by 14.8%, as gross series. New construction works went up by 20.2%, whereas maintenance and current repair works increased by 8.3%. Construction of non-residential buildings rose by 31.2%, while for residential buildings, by 12.3%, and engineering construction increased by 6.3%.
