Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the volume of construction works increased both as gross series and as adjusted series by the number of working days and by seasonality by 5.9% and by 6.5%, respectively.

 

Year-on-year, the volume of construction works increased in the first 11 months of 2015, both as gross series and as series adjusted by number of working days and seasonality, by 9.4pct, respectively 10.2pct, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) announced on Thursday.

 

By structural elements, the increases were as follows: capital repair works - 23.5pct, maintenance and current repair works - 14.4pct and new construction works - 4.8pct. By destination, the volume of construction works increased in the case of engineering buildings by 16.7pct and by 3.1pct for non-residential buildings.

 

In the case of residential buildings, the volume of construction works decreased by 4.5pct.

During the period surveyed, as series adjusted by number of working days and seasonality, the following increases were recorded: capital repair works - 23.4pct, maintenance and current repair works 11pct and new construction works - 6.8pct. By destination, the volume of construction works increased in the case of engineering buildings by 9.3pct, by 6.6pct in the case of non-residential buildings and by 2.2pct for residential buildings.

 

In November 2015, construction works increased as gross series by 7pct compared to October and remained stable as series adjusted by number of working days and seasonality. Maintenance and current repair works increased the most in November, compared to the previous month, by 9pct, followed by new construction works - 7.1pct and capital repair works - 3.3pct.

 

By destination, the volume of construction works increased in the case of engineering buildings by 24.6pct. The volume of construction works decreased for residential buildings and non-residential buildings, by 28.3pct and 14.3pct, respectively.

 

As series adjusted by number of working days and seasonality, in November, compared to October, there was a marked increase in new building works, respectively 2.5pct. There were decreases in maintenance and current repair works and capital repair works of 3.6pct and 3pct, respectively. By destination, engineering constructions increased by 6.7pct. Residential and non-residential building works decreased by 24.1pct and 16.6pct, respectively.

As series adjusted by number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works increased by 6.5pct.

 

By structural elements, there were increases in capital repair works - 28.2pct and in maintenance and current repair works - 6.1pct. New construction works decreased by 2.6pct.
