The macroeconomic confidence indicator is calculated on a scale with values between zero (the lack of confidence) and 100 (full confidence in the Romanian economy), based on six questions about current conditions related to the business milieu and the labour market and the anticipations for a time horizon of a year for business milieu, labour market, the trend of personal income in the economy and of personal assets.
The increase was owed to both components of the indicator. Thus, the current conditions indicator was 45.2, up by 0.4 points compared to the value recorded in the previous exercise, and the anticipations indicator rose to 70.9 (by 3.6 points above the level recorded in January 2015).
