The price paid by the investor can be estimated at about 8 million euros, based on the transactions concluded in this area this year by other developers.

The Expozitiei area has become the hottest point on the Bucharest real estate map this year with the construction of six office buildings, 1,800 dwellings and the transformation of old exhibition halls into rented areas.

The Belgians want to build on this land an office complex of 44,000 square meters, which would attract an investment of over 80 million euros, according to Capital estimates.

"The Central and Eastern European countries are well placed in terms of competitive labor costs, flexible legislation, organizational culture similar to the euro area and North America and a proven track record. Romania currently has more than 100,000 employees in outsourced services and remains one of the most attractive countries in the region to attract new investments", says Atenor.

The developer has so far built the Hermes Business Campus project on Dimitrie Pompeiu Boulevard in Bucharest. The three 72,000-square-meter buildings have been fully rented and the entire complex has been put on sale through Colliers International and CBRE Brokers at a price of over 100 million euros, according to Capital sources.

"We are still discussing the sale of these buildings, but there are no plans to conclude a deal this year, given the upward trend of the investment market", said Atenor.

The company also bought in the summer of last year a land of about 5,000 sq m at the intersection of Calea Victoriei and Dacia Boulevard in Bucharest. On this lot will be built a 12,000 sqm office building. (source: capital.ro)
